İhsan Deniz is one of the prominent poets after 1980’s, with his different style of expression and unique style, andwith metaphsical elements in his poems. Until now, the poet has published 12 poetry books, worked as a columnist, in Yeni Şafak Newspaper and has articles have been published in Bürde, Yönelişler and İpek Dili Seçkileri. In this study, İhsan Deniz’s book named “Tam” published by Meserret Publications in 2014, will be discussed within the framework of theme of starvation. The main themes seen in İhsan Deniz’s poems are themes such as love, deatk, loneliness, homelessness and natüre. The work titled “Tam” which is the 12th book published by the poet, is written the framework of theme of the starvation. The poet makes the reader feel the material and spiritual consequences of hunger and the resulting spiritual state.
