AKTİF ÖĞRENME YÖNTEMLERİNDEN EĞİTSEL OYUNLARIN KULLANILMASININ VI. SINIF YARATICI YAZMA ÇALIŞMALARINA ETKİSİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI-ARTVİN İLİ ÖRNEĞİ

Özet

The verbal, nonverbal, and written messages the individual gives while communicating make him/her valuable in the communication environment. Writing skills, acquired last in language teaching, are perceived as difficult by students due to the necessity of using mental processes and physical characteristics together. Modern writing approaches, writing activities, and applications prepared in line with constructivism aim to make writing skills a skill loved by students. One of the important applications for students to have a positive attitude toward writing skills is creative writing activities. Combining creative writing activities, where students feel more comfortable and free while writing, with educational games also helps creative writing activities to be more efficient. In this study, which was conducted to determine the effect of educational games on writing and creative writing activities, a difficult process for students, a case study, one of the qualitative research strategies, was used. The study group of the research consists of one 6th grade from 2 different secondary schools in Artvin province. 3 creative writing activities were developed by the researchers as data collection tools. Fable-creative writing activity, Oflu, Bayburtlu-creative writing activity, and card game-creative writing activity were applied in the specified classes. In addition, interviews were conducted with the students and their teachers who participated in the study using a semi-structured interview form; the consistency of the findings obtained with the researcher's observations and diaries was compared. As a result of the research, it was determined that the students and teachers had a positive approach and attitude towards creative writing; students were able to produce qualified products in writing activities where they felt comfortable and free.
