This study was conducted to analyze the cultural elements in the spoken and written works of the artist İbrahim Erkal and to identify expressions that could serve as elements of values education. Within this framework, a qualitative research model and descriptive survey method were employed, and document analysis was used as the data collection technique. The artist has released 15 albums containing a total of 171 musical works, including 150 original and 21 non-original pieces. His book of poems, “Ben Bu Şöhreti Sevmedim”, contains 44 original poems. The cultural elements reflected in İbrahim Erkal’s works were examined considering Tomalin and Stempleski’s (1993) classification of culture. The values in the artist's works were determined according to Schwartz’s (1992) scale of values. It was observed that İbrahim Erkal’s works are not only a musical reflection but also significantly reflect Turkish cultural heritage and values. The study concluded that the themes explored in the works, the linguistic features used, the musical style, the Turkish musical tradition, and elements such as Anatolian culture are important factors reflecting the lifestyle, values, and identity of Turkish society.
